Excuse my laziness for not reading all 6 pages of this thread, my colleagues and I were just talking about this and I understand that there was no sign of forced entry into the apartment where the children were sleeping?
Is this correct?

I myself have a Daughter who turned 4 last week and I have purposely kept away from reading any news on the matter as it is too upsetting, plus it is very rare that they have a happy ending

Are you serious? What do you think someone does with an abducted toddler? It ain't taking them out for ice cream, y'know.

it's reported that the parents left the door unlocked for various reasons.

Would you still have this opinion if it was a chav single mum of three that had left her kids while she was down the local pub getting drunk. I think not.

Is that because you know me so well?

I don't care who you are or what your social situation is losing a child is one of the most traumatic things that can happen to anyone.

Absolutely. So why aren't we all so concerned about the hundreds of children that die every day because of a lack of clean drinking water?

That is such a stupid think to do! I read one report that they had left it open in case of fire! How would the children have coped if there had been a fire?

The little girl (and the twins) could also have wandered off along the beach!

I didn't make any suggestion that I knew you at all.

The OP made a comment in regards to the attacks on the parents, I was only pointing would they still feel the same if the parents were from a different social background.

I am also well aware how traumatic it must be for these parents and can only hope and pray that Maddy is returned to her parent safely.

Over to you....

Simon
I knew I shouldn't have looked at this thread because it has been playing on my mind for most of the afternoon, especially after one person at work thinks that somehow one of the parents is involved in this poor girls disappearance.
It was a truly shocking thing to say, the whole table went quiet and we dismissed it as absolute bollocks but it is still bothering me.
How can this girl just disappear off of the face of the earth, no one has seen a thing? All the hype about a bloke taking pictures on the beach seems like total rubbish, when people are on holiday they take pictures, nothing unusual there were his words.
Looking back at previous child abductions & murders the victim has almost always known the killer (Jamie Bulger was one exception), this whole case just sickens me and the more I read about it the more replulsed I feel.
I sometimes wish I didn't read the news...

Hi Danny

Well this bit bothers me and it has crossed my mind.

The Parents are just TOO controlled for my liking and they dont look as though they have been sedated either -which I am sure that most parents in this situation would have had to be sedated

I just pray to god that they find Maddy and that the "controlled" behaviour is due to intellingence and hope and nothing else.
