All the intelligent design idea proves
Is that there are some people who will go to great length to find an alternative idea if the mainstream one undermines their current position..
One key flaw in intelligent design is that it fails to come up with a reason for the intelligent designers existence, for it to exist and be intelligent under the hypothesis it would require an intelligent designer, the result is you either come up with a supreme being that has always existed and thus the question doesn’t apply (justification for a deity) or you enter a cyclic creation of intelligent designers of intelligent designers
When looked at from this angle, evolution is just much much simpler
