And this is priceless. I googled to see how many children Adam and Eve had and found this link

Did you know that Adam and Eve didnt have belly buttons

And Adam lived for 930years. Yep it's all true.

Stuart two things
1) Simplistic explanation
2) totally incorrect explanation

Intelligent design is the assertion that "certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection." No mention of god.

Intelligent design itself does not support the existence of a single god who created living organisms. Instead the idea of Intelligent design, first formulated before the (supposed) birth of a christ figure, has been 'hijacked' by creationists.

Really don't get why parents wouldn't want their children to know the facts and then make up their mind which version they believe.
I don't believe in religious education in normal schools except to cover the basic belief systems of each faith, so that the child can make an informed choice. If someone wants their child to learn religion, take them to sunday school or enrol them in the relevant faith school system.

There is a darned more proof of evolution than there is of creationism. I prefer my children to make their choices based on evidence, not faith.

? How is it that an intelligence that could design the Universe not be classified as "God" or "a god", If I met it I reckon it would be "god" to me. ?

Stuart (and I'm not trying to be pedantic here) the definition says intelligent cause, it does not mention a single entity, nor specifically intelligence.

Consider this (as far fetched and preposterous as it sounds) 100 years from now 'Mankind' has settled another 'world' he takes with him a desktop computer, a laptop and an I-phone. Technology has come so far that these devices are close to being sentinent beings and have the capablities of repairing and 'reproducing' themselves. A virus (lets call it Flying-Swine Flu) wipes out mankind and the 'devices' are left to fend for themselves, millions of years down the way the 'world' that man settled is now populated by 'races' of electronic devices. Yes they evolved BUT the original 'dinosaurs' came from elsewhere and were 'planted' by an 'intelligent cause'.

I don't think it was too intelligent to take an i-phone. Who would you call?

<and anyway it would still work according to the laws of physics>.

Wasn't there a Star Trek movie a few years ago that had such a theme?
