What's wrong with Sacher? I might have written the complete name, Sachertorte, but how would you write it?
And, BTW, how do you translate "gelato affogato al caffe"? Of course drowned coffee is wrong, but I don't know what is the English corresponding phrase. Thanks!

Affogato is a tricky one .. they could have written "Ice-cream 'drowned' in coffee and G.M.", if that's what it is.

Yes as a pedant I would have preferred to see 'Sachertorte' , and then maybe Austrian chocolate cake. I don't think a lot of Brit/USA tourists would not know what is meant by "Sacher".

Just looking at the giro on rai3 introduced by Fight For Pink.
As a brit i could just about imagine hugging someome for pink (but only after about 5 pints of course) but fight?

My favourite is "according to fish" (secondo di pesce). I've also seen "toad's tails" (coda di rospo = monkfish).

Came across "l'okey" in an italian newspaper sometime within the last two weeks - can't remember where but it must have been one of the biggies.

Yes, quite possibly.
Though what makes it a bit odd is that I would have thought that a report on such a thing would have started with some form of basic press release/announcement by the bodies concerned.
Shows the perils of trying to mix and match but not properly adapt languages.
Particularly as "blu" is I think invariable in Italian.
