it would be great if you can share some more details about your application like your IELTS score, the amount of funds you mentioned in your application (if you are comfortable), your profession, experience...

skill assessment and IELTS both are valid. I did IELTS in May 2010.

I see. Usually skill assessment is only valid for 1 year and IETLS is valid for 2 years, therefore I asked.

Atif - Just a friend advise that you confirm this information before you run into any problems to lose your application fee and have to re-file.

I confirmed it from TRA website (www.deewr.gov.au/TRA), also search forums and found it correct, there is no expiry mention for motor mechanic skill assessment. if you found some information, please bring into my knowledge.

it seems to be good,atleast two persons got their approval in this week..

tht means they r proceesing fast now..

specialy candidates who had applied in JAN 2011....

hoping to get response from SMP in few days..
