Re: Victoria SMP Update
A friend of mine was assessed positively for Analyst Programmer (Schedule 3). He was waiting for the Victoria SMP to be out as he is working in Melbourne for some years on UC 457.
Last week his agent forced him to apply for 175 instead of waiting for 176.
Does anyone have any insider knowledge on the VIC SMP list..?

I emailed them around 10 days ago asking about their SMP and whether Civil engineering is in their SMP or not they said their SMP is still with DIAC and civil engineering will be on their SMP
About Quota I read somewhere that they do not have any problem with their quota
Did you hear anything more ?
Regards

It appears that if VIC SMP is not published on Monday 1st then it will not be published until after the elections and possibly a while longer while they sort themselves out - possibly not until 2011. I hope that given DIAC and VIC have known about the state elections for a long time that they have managed to sort things out so that they can be published.

Same as when there is a Federal election. No major decisions and policy changes can be made until the new government is in place. Pointless speculating on it, you will all just have to sit and wait.
