anyway, ive been in the testing field for more than 4 years, and 2 years as a developer.
For a decision ready ACS application , it is always good to give a brief about your attachments on a cover letter.
Everybody is human so if you mention that you have got sponsorship already which is going to be expired on so and so...also if you mention that you were postitvely assessed earlier with this code and all---Any assessor will better understand your situation---This is just my personal opinion ..you may try this as it doesn't harm anyway---

It is our assessment that there is currently a demand for your experience and qualifications in Victoria, Australia. You have also assessed yourself as meeting the requirements of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) Skilled – Sponsored visa scheme.

I guess I would be one of the first in the IT field to get the successful email. However, my ACS just expired last March 16, which was 2 days ago!
The state sponsorship is only valid for 4 months. If I lodge another ACS application, it will take another 3 months, and who knows what delays it might bring.... I've running out of other options... Please advise, guys
Congrats to the First Winner of this forum in the new criteria Dear Will you please share what was your qualifications?

thanks mate, but the problem is my ACS results letter already expired 2 days before I got the SS approval. I am now in the crossroads of re-lodging with ACS which (who knows) might take more than 4 months considering the validity of SS is only 4 months, or straight away lodging my 176 application even if my ACS expired 5 days ago... time is not on my side

I was in the testing field for more than 4 years... being a test analyst to a test manager so I think they took that into consideration... my wife's aunt also stays in Victoria so I guess that was one of the factors as well

Hi,

We have just completed our application for SS as an accountant (husband).

He has received a positive assessment, but we are still waiting for the documents to be posted. We have decided to apply without the documents and will add them later.

Are there any other accountants applied for sponsorship?

Default email from SMP..after funds amount submitt..

hi guys i just submitt my available funds a day before to smp.

and i recieved this reply.....

Thank you for the information you sent to the Victorian Government's Skilled and Business Migration Program. The reference number is SS-2011-00455. The nominated occupation is 262112 ICT Security Specialist.

The application will be processed and reviewed for Victorian Government nomination. To be eligible for sponsorship by the Victorian Government an applicant must first have an occupation on the Victorian Government Sponsorship Eligibility List. The eligibility list is an indication only of those occupations in demand in Victoria and having an occupation on this list does not guarantee sponsorship.

The Skilled and Business Migration Program has no legal authority to deal with migration requirements or points required for migration. Any questions regarding migration beyond Victorian Government sponsorship should be directed to the Australian Government’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). See the DIAC website www.immi.gov.au for more information.

The Victorian Government is currently finalising procedures in obtaining industry feedback for ICT occupations, and unfortunately this has meant a delay in the processing of all ICT applications. We are unable to provide an estimated processing time.

We apologise for this delay and will have a decision for you as soon as possible.

so wats next,,how long i have to wait for next email..

You won't have to wait long, because, using the Reference number you so thoughtfully supplied, I rang up and cancelled your application.

OK. I'm lying, but you might want to think twice before posting those sort of details.

6th Jan and my ref number is SS-2011-001XX which means between 6th Jan and 25th Jan, there were approx 350+ apps submitted

And yep, please don't post reference numbers or other personal info here on the forums. You can mask the last two digits at least.

Good luck with the SS!!
