Those of us who have been through it know how bad the waiting is, but it isn't helped by people speculating about doom and gloom with no basis for their facts.
The result is evident quickly when people start their own threads saying "I've heard that......" and we have to spend hours quashing the rumours and putting minds at rest.
If you want to go and speculate about highly unlikely developments in the visa world, please go and do it in the Barbie, where other people can join in and chat about it to their hearts content, NOT in the Immigration forum where we try to keep things factual and informative.
Ridiculous!
I am not speculating anything. Read it carefully what I said (see who need to needs to hangout in Barbie camp)

How's Ozz life treating you there? Is it up to your expectations?

Cheers!

They did that before the 1/7/07 changes and I think that they are still dealing with the huge increase in pre deadline aplications that generated [which was totally pointless as the changes were to go to computerised applications that were then processed quicker after the change], many of them incomplete due to no ILETS being included which were subsequently refused to a HUGE amount of whinging, finger pointing and accusation on this forum. The advice from many old time forum members was that the applications would be refused but many many applicants were not interested in listening to the advice because it conflicted with their WISH to gain access to Australia but when it all blew up it was of course somebody elses fault.

This is the second time that I had to change my plans. And I am pretty to sure there are many out there in the same boat.
It has always been this way, I know many applicants and nearly all of them have had to modify their plans due to changes in the process or qualification criteria, the fact that you have just recognised this means that you are either new to the Australian immigration process, or have not been paying attention to the way it it has operated in the past and continues to operate.

Ok everyone, start your flaming.
I have no high horse. I simply get slightly irritated by a certain number of posters who seem to believe that they have a right to a visa and that the Australian Government are doing their utmost to make things difficult for them.

The Government look after those that are here and if they want to change the rules, regardless of how stressful and upsetting it is for would be migrants, they will. Moaning about it won't change anything and isn't healthy.

And as an aside, all Mods and the vast majority of people offering help and support on here HAVE been through the migration process and are more than aware of how stressful the process is. It's not something anyone forgets but if I can help others by trying to prevent that stress by pointing out that someone is making inaccurate statements I will and I don't intend stopping so get used to it.

After six years of reading, sometimes wildly, inaccurate statements that are given as facts and then seeing the fallout from people who were made to panic, I apologise if my manner of response is not to your liking but I object strongly to someone making a statement on the Immigration forum that has no basis in fact and sometimes posters don't understand the importance of NOT making such statements unless they are replied to in strong terms.

Default 176 suspened?

Hi

I have just read the suspension on the 176 Visa. I am very worried. I am hoping my occupation as 2222-13 - Sales Representative [Information and Communication Products) does not fall off the list.

I am waiting for a result from Vetassee.

Does anybody know if this might stay on the list?

Thank you
