Mr. Lombard,

Thank you for posting the list.

What do you think, which codes DIAC will end up with in the end: ASCO or ANZSCO? Since there are tens of thousands who already applied with the "old" ones.

Thank you.

So if your occupation i.e. Hairdresser is not on that list when it comes out, then you have a snowballs chance in hell in getting any visa?????

If this is correct then one way of getting "round it" is to apply for a visa before July?

JOHN

Brisbec,

Check out each state police force website. SA & WA both recruit from international forces.

I'm not sure of the process but know a good few cops who have bailed out of Strathmet.

I'd be interested to know too, for a friend who wants to migrate. I thought that previously Police where only allowed via ENS, and none of the state constabularties where sponsoring at the moment.

Don't think any of them are sponsoring at the moment, and currently Police are only on the SOL when Employer Sponsored???

You're correct that neither SA or WA are recruiting at the minute ( I'm only a little bit aggreived becaused I missed the cut for SA by one month!!!)
However IF, and it's a big IF, Police are put on the skills list then I can see alot of people applying.
I've just returned from a fantastic trip to Queensland, and it more than reinforced the reasons why I want to live in Australia, not necessarily Qld, just anywhere.......

Just have to wait and see............................

Brisbec,

Good luck for the new list

OH is electronic engineer, so we are hoping it will still be on the list.

I'm an electrician and am on the list, I also have state sponsorship from Queensland.
Will I have to wait until 2012 as previously advised or does this mean that we could possibly be in for some good news for a change?

Just one brief question which is constantly bugging me and many fellow BEs:
Q/- Applicants who applied after Feb 08 and before mid 2010 what will be their position in the the new SOL? (from various threads the discussion is really confusing and ambiguous. )
