Hi George

just seen that draft about skills aus. sol i am gutted mine is not on, i have ss from wa, who informed me of there need for people in my skill set. Fitter (4112-11);
i am led to believe this has been in demand for the last 15 years, why would it be removed now?? anything you can add would be help, feeling a bit down after looking at that list.

Guys and Gals (ICT),

I may have some good news... Check this site out. The way I interpret it, I see 2611 according to the draft new SOL being equal to 2231 of ASCO. Meaning, in ANZSCO, "ICT Business and System Analyst" is equal to "Computing professionals 2231".

I know this is very important information for all computing professionals, please go check this site and download the excel file by clicking on this hyperlink "ANZSCO and ASCO Second Edition". In the excel file, check in table 4.

The website is http://www.abs.gov.au/Ausstats/[email protected]?opendocument

Check it out...

Cheers,

TAA

It is not yet clear how the specializations of the 2231-79 will map to the new coding system, relative to the priority processing they received in the past. I guess that is the question bothering most would-be applicants at the moment. It may so happen that there will be no priority given on the specialization basis alone, and the priority processing will be available only to those who secured a sponsor - either a state, or an employer, to support the demand-driven nature of the new system.

You see 2231 ? dont you ? Network Security is 2231-79 (NEC). Atleast we see something equilant to our existing base code. Hopefully they will add extenstions to the code later on and yours and mine will be there.

Hi

Hi

I have just read the suspension on the 176 Visa. I am very worried. I am hoping my occupation as 2222-13 - Sales Representative [Information and Communication Products) will still be on list?

Thank you
