Re: Just seen this on the Tasmania Goverment site
The Tasmanian Government will be suspending the assessment of applications for offshore Skilled Sponsored (SS) subclass 119 visas and Skilled Regional Sponsored (SRS) subclass 475 visas between Monday 31 May 2010 and Friday 3 July 2010. This suspension will take place whilst the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) undertake a review of their Skilled Occupations List (SOL). During this period the assessment of all other visa applications will remain unchanged.

Re: Suspension of General Skilled Migration
Hi All,
great news again...dont ya just love all this immigration business. does anyone know whether sponsorship applications for SA, which were submitted before the suspension deadline, will be processed like DIAC are doing, or does the suspension apply to just new applications received after the 8th May cut off?? I cant seem to find a definative answer on the SA gov website...it just says that they are suspending processing.
Aaaargh..... so frustrated.

But jut cheer up and wait for new SOL, hope that brings good news for most of us on here. Till that time just chill and enjoy your present life, why to worry about unknown feature now.

What is your profession ? Please tell us the details, what date you applied for sponsorship?. Atleast we know States are still sponsoring applicants who applied before May 8th.
Cheers,

Sick and tired of DIAC...
First they removed MODL without any notice now GMS.
I wouldn't be superised if they start revoking the PRs that are already issued.

Unless you have a factual basis for statements like that, please keep them to yourself before they cause mass panic.

I fail to see what difference it would make if they gave warning or how they would. If they gave warning everyone would try to get their applications in before the deadline and cause even more problem.
Yes it's a ghastly and sad situation for many people but getting shitty with a Government who are looking out for their current citizens is fairly daft imo as is making ridiculous and damaging statements like your last one.
