Hello guys.
Can any one tell me that what will be policy after new SOL Announcement for those who already got skills assessment based on current SOL but did not apply for visa yet. Will they need to do re assessment based on upcoming SOL or it will be accepted provided their occupation exists on the new SOL?

I have seen that ASCO Codes format in upcoming SOL will be changed but those who already have +ve assessment mentions old ASCO Code scheme.

Secondly what are the chances of .NET Technologies presence in upcoming SOL?

Guys please share your opinions..

Thanks..

My guess is that this has happened because DIAC have met their quotas for this financial year and rather than continue to let new applications build up, they're gonna focus on processing those already in the queue. Anyone else think this?

Hi Jan,
You are right.
But I think the reason of freezing is now they want to get applications based on new SOL. And the biggest worry is will my occupation be exists on new SOL or not :S

Hope things will be better.

My thinking too. They also probably want to clean up a bit before the rules change and give themselves time to hopefully come up with a better system...

However, as Bermuda said, they are not stopping migration altogether. They are just changing the rules.

Yeah I know, the current system is just a mess, if it hadn't been for my OH getting sponsorship we'd still be waiting on my non CSL/MODL GSM175, he does have his uses afterall lol

No worries as you have lodged the application. You can add him later even after CO assigned.

Default Just seen this on the Tasmania Goverment site

The Tasmanian Government will be suspending the assessment of applications for offshore Skilled Sponsored (SS) subclass 119 visas and Skilled Regional Sponsored (SRS) subclass 475 visas between Monday 31 May 2010 and Friday 3 July 2010. This suspension will take place whilst the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) undertake a review of their Skilled Occupations List (SOL). During this period the assessment of all other visa applications will remain unchanged.
