Qld and they sent the nomination form to immigration 1 month ago. But until now, I got no reply from immigration. No co yet.

Did the vic state gov sent the form to immigration on 2 march?

Hi Safin,

When did you receive the email from State Government that they are sending out the nomination form to the immigration?

We had already lodged the visa before we got sponsorship so I included the TRN with the application form and they sent form 1100 to DIAC the same day they informed us of approval.

So for us they told immigration on 25 Feb. (13 working days ago!) We were fully frontloaded and meds etc had already been cleared last year.

I'm SO bored of wiaitng and checking every day! So much for being allocated a CO before 13th Feb!! This is really frustrating as I got my hopes up and now they're dissapearing!

Sent an e-mail to Diac about 2 weeks ago now so hopefully they'll get back to me soon and tell me what's going on?

I also fed up checking the status page everyday i think not all 176 state sponsored applicant get priority processing like what is stated as "10 days". Something is not right.

We received confirmation from South Australia that they had emailed DIAC our Form 1100 on 26th February.

On 7th March DIAC emailed us to advise that our Form 1100 had not yet been noted on the system as being received by the department.

I think this is where the delay is occurring - DIAC are not processing the 1100's when they come in and therefore the 10 day allocation time is not really accurate.

Don't know how this will fit in with all CSLs being allocated by May, when there's still such a backlog of 176's...

Yes, I agreed what you said. I think the interaction between the state gov and diac are not very smooth.

My medical has been finalised but not being updated on the status page too.
Sometimes just wondering what actually is happening inside immi. office.

That's interesting as our is SA sponsored too. Would help if they replied to my e-mail to tell me if they've had the form or not though as according to my agent it has been sent on - SO frustrating!

Hi, just a query.

My brother applied for a 175 last year on his own merrits he's an electrician, then in desperation he changed to a 176 state sponsored but this was only the other day and has been told 6 to 8 weeks until visa grant, can this be possible???

i thought you had to wait months for the state to give you the sponsorship which then went into your visa which would be processed in the normal way.

Im just concerned the lack of communication he has had from his agent and now he's stringing him a line.

I'd like to be told im wrong and he will have his visa soon.

hi there, i wouldnt worry too much about not having a co allocated, i have heard of loads of applicants who have logged on to find the visa allocated, it appears the co will only contact you if they need something or a question answered. I may be wrong but i understand the co works on the case and may not necessarily update the status page???

fingers crossed

Hi,

I am also a former 175 applicant, MODL, last year. Due to the current priority changes in DIAC. I have opted and shifted to 176. Having said that, I have applied for state nomination, for me to secure the top priority of the processing waiting que. I have lodged my Vic sponsorship January (mid) 09 and was granted a state sponsorship last 3 March 09. Right now, I am just waiting for my CO allocation. It has been reported that once DIAC receive the formal Letter of Sponsorship (Form 1100) from the Sponsoring State----- it will only take 10 days and a CO will be allocated. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

The agent should clearly explain to client that getting a state sponsorship these days will need roughly around 12 weeks. I read it somewhere, states were changing the turnaround time due to backlogs. I hope this little infos helps giving u some heads up.

Regards,
Maverickdale
