Congratulation to you for the visa grant.

Btw: How did you get the notification? Was it via e-mail or mail ?

Cheers,
vito

Many congrats!!.......we are in the same boat, although we have already done our meds. Our CO wanted a little more info on my hours worked in my present job and also forms 80 for myself & wife. Fingers and toes crossed we should hear something soon.

Hi all!
We have had email from our agent to say we are about to hear from our Co!!! Lodged December 17th so thank goodness at last! :)
Don't want to be too critical but phoned our agent (who will remain nameless) and actually complained at a lack of communication on their part. We asked for a new administrator and she looked our case up immediately. We heard that we have a CO and that they will be in touch shortly. I don't like to moan, don't like to complain but advise anybody out there who is still waiting to speak up. Our agent had processed applicants after ours and not picked up on it :(
All is well now though so thumbs up

Hi all

We applied 24th dec 07 and got our case officer a week a go.

We had our meds done today, need to get further info from doctors.

We need to do our police checks now - I originally thought we had to just get in touch with local police and get there form completed and sent back to us. But I have only glimpsed - it appears there is more to it than that - form 80 and 1101. Can anyone give me a quick guidance as I have to rush now.

Thanks

Hi Verndownunder,

For UK police checks go to www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp & you can print the police check form off.

You need to get someone to confirm the photo is of you & then send it off. They say it takes 10 days plus posting days. We had ours back in 5 days.

You only need to do police checks for other countries if you have lived there for more than 12 months.

Hope this helps
good luck

Thankyou

I have just printed the form off and will get them completed and sent off.

Re the proof of identity - i.e. passport description page, does this have to be true copy of original from the solicitor?

Thanks

Tracey

Hi Tracy,

I just sent copies of the passports, I didn't get them certified. Only the photos need to be certified by a professional person, I think there was a listof acceptable professions in the info page of the form. One of our neighbours is a prison officer & he did ours.

The proof of address, I sent a bank statement & mobile bill copies for mine & tax return & bank statement for my husband. Once again just copies, not certified.

After showing myself up right royally as a whingeing pom on the BE visa update site yesterday, the e-mail from our newly appointed case officer arrived this morning!

What a shame the medicals and police certificates can't be done today!

Hopefully you other paper 175s from March will hear soon.
