Re: paperbased applications thread
Hi all!
I know it wont help me now but why do some agents still use paper? We paid about £4,000 for our agent and thought it was because they were one of the best. I know its not their fault that there is a huge backlog and that they are frustrated too but I feel a bit let down now. I have never whinged on here during the last 12 months or so. This is the first time ever. I just fel soooo fed up that the online applications are so far ahead. (pleased for those folks as well though :) Sorry to do this but I really am fed up now. The whole thing drives me nuts!!!:( |

Re: paperbased applications thread
Lou you are so very much not alone. I'm feeling so bad for not being as happy as I should be for all the online March applicants (I am a March applicant) who are being granted visas left right and centre, when us paperbased are back in October. I am more angry with myself than anything else....(No agent).
You agent is an a*se for not applying for you onlline. What's his reason? |

I'm sure someone may correct this if they know better. The waiting is starting to bug me now as well. Johnnyyt |

Don't worry about the moaning - this is the best therapy there is. We (ie I) did it myself in paper as well as my cousin couldn't do on-line so had no choice. Also going mad with the wait! Spent ages earlier doing collation of any type of evidence that could remotely be called upon as extra in case we ever get a case officer! Nearly 9 months now since ack - could have had a baby!

Re: paperbased applications thread
We are also using Four Corners as our agent. We queried the online/paper applications and got the same answer that you can only submit 60 pages online...I couldn't tell you how many pages we had though! Wasn't sure whether to believe them or not or if they were just fobbing us off!!
I also read on here somewhere that the reason the paper apps take longer to process is because there are more mistakes being made on them whereas the online has to be correct before submitting. does kinda make sense really but still not very comforting for those still waiting for news. we got our CO last week and had our meds done yesterday, pcc's have been requested so now we wait again. Surely agents should explain the difference between the different methods of applications before starting. Ok rant over feel better already so for a change and to cheer everyone up I'll pick a cheerful smilie :D
I am wondering what we paid the agent for - you think you're paying so you get the best possible service in getting the visa but as Liz F says I feel I know more about it than she does. The last time I spoketo her she still maintained that paper apps were taking about the same time as online! (hollow and hysterical laughter!!!) She advised me to stay off the forums as they aren't helpful!!! Apart from a mini flurry last week there has been hardly any movement on paper apps at all. Please Maroonednz tell me again that IT IS REAL!!! Sorry to let off steam on here but my poor husband is just as frustrated and we're making each other depressed -aren't we a couple of saddos!! Anyway - I have had my say now so I do feel a bit calmer. On another note - well done to the recent visas/co! Alex |

Totally agree with the above posts, especially LouB and Liz F. I am about going spare with frustration and the knowledge that if only my agent had applied online I would have the visa by now is gnawing away at me and making me even madder!! :curse:

There is a limit to how much can be sent in the intial application (I am a DIY paper based only because the visa site was under repair and would not except Brit passports with the due points so it was paper or an IELTS for me) I have been emailing additional documents to the visa pep and there is no limit to how many docs you sent and a emailed original doc does not have to be signed by a justise of the peace etc Deb |

That's what ours indicated too, but these are what keep you going, as it's nice to know others in same boat.;) Seems agents are happy to have taken your money put in application and that's their job done!:sneaky: Doesn't matter youv'e been waiting so long, due to not being advised what options were open to you in the first place ie paper or online. |
Re: paperbased applications thread
Hi everyone,
We are using an agent too (VisaBureau) who said that the online system has so many problems & it takes so long to attach everything they find paper applications are less troublesome. I suspect now that they don't want an agent tied up attaching all the documents............. She said forums are good for info when you get there but to ignore timelines as every application is different. This agree with to a certain extent, different visas applied for, medical circumstances, more info required the list goes on. However there must be some genuine comparisons to make. the beupdate wbsite proves that. I was also advised not to go for medicals or get police checks done until a caseworker had contacted us to say go for them. I have decided I know better............ Meds booked for 2 Sep. I am going for the theory that if when the ever elusive case officer picks up our file if everything is there & in order we will go straight to visa granted. Everything crossed..... We are in a slightly easier position in selling up as we live on a boat so don't have the same credit crunch house selling to go through & can be ready to go in a couple of weeks if the visa does still take ages. All the best laid plans though. |
Re: paperbased applications thread
I cant believe your agents did not go with the online application since it is their jobs to do their very best to make things swift.
My fiance and i did not use agents. we did paperbased on our own since 136 then was still paper based. Dont listen when they say these sites are not useful cause it kept us going. it's almost good to know what's going on. |
