Re: Occupations on the new SOL
We applied for a 175 Visa in Sept 2009 so are in the queue, I just don't know where we stand if we're not on the new SOL list! Does it mean we drop down to the lowest priority processing or will we stay at Cat 5! Any ideas anyone

Re: Occupations on the new SOL
How do you know that this "list" is going to be the new officially published SOL list on 30th April 2010 to come into force in July 2010 that will replace the MODL and CSL lists?
I thought that the Aus government wasn't going to publish the new SOL loist until the 30th April 2010?

Sorry for being really thick here.....
My step daughter is a Hair dresser. Has the door been totally closed for her now?

Re: Occupations on the new SOL
Q 6 Who will the new SOL apply to?
The new SOL will apply to all new GSM applicants from
mid-2010, except those applicants who, at 8 February
2010:
• hold a Skilled—Graduate (subclass 485) visa, or
had a pending subclass 485 visa application and
had not yet lodged an application for a provisional or
permanent GSM visa and who make an application
by 31 December 2012, or
• had a pending GSM visa application.
It means if we have launched visa application before FEB 2010 , new SOL will not affect our application.

It is clearly mentioned on IMMI.GOV.AU official document that NEW SOL will not be applicable on the already applied cases before February 08, 2010.

Re: Occupations on the new SOL
I agree...... but my question would be, will it effect processing times for those who are now not on the new list?
Will people with skills on the new list be processed quicker than those who,s skill has been removed from the new SOL list even though they have an application already in the Visa queue?
Any ideas!!
