I checked the application tracking system and there has been an update :
11/11/2010 Application received - processing commenced
11/11/2010 Application fee received
20/12/2010 Application being processed further
...so, my application is "being processed further". Does this mean I have a case worker? Is this a significant step?
PS. I'm priority 2.

I always love your replies Dorothy! I assume you're referring to SOL schedule 3? State sponsored? I don't think anyone can really know what your processing time will be. Each app is different.
Have you sent an email to Adelaide processing centre to get the update on where they are up to in processing? If not, here's a copy of the last one I received:

I have applied for 176 on 7th of November 2010. I have uploaded all of the requires documents but the system still says required. I think if someone looks in to my file then the required will be removed. Should i be worried about it?

As far as I understand, it will say this till someone starts looking at your application. Mine still says that too but maybe it will change soon as it is now "being processed further". I'll let you know.

I m working with 475 Family Sponsored , issue with the processing period .
But i met one thread saying he got 475 visa (SS) withing 03 months .
Thinking to apply for 176 (FS) , for that need to do IELTS again since i m having Average 06.
Please share your experiences on 475.

We've been asked to supply Police and Medical checks by 7 Feb.
We only applied for 176 on 11 November last year. In shock at how quickly things have moved along!!!

- 9 Feb 2010 - Applied for Skills assessment
- 21 April 2010 - Received positive skills assessment from ACS under 2231-70 (.Net Technologies Specialist)
- 23 April 2010 - Applied for VIC state sponsorship
- 3 Nov 2010 - Received positive state sponsorship from VIC
- 11 Nov 2010 - Lodged 176 application with DIAC
- 11 Jan 2011 - DIAC requested medicals and police checks
