Can anyone confirm this?
We're heading over to Brisbane on a Working Holiday Visa in July 2011 while we wait for our 175 to be accepted. Once in Brisbane and when our 175 gets accepted, we will have to leave and re-enter the country to validate it, how long do we need to leave for? Or is it not a matter of time but the act of physical leaving and re-entering. What I think we'll do is jump on a flight to NZ or Singapore for a few days but I just wanted to check that there was a fixed time of how long you have to leave for.

Basic Question for 457 Timeline
Hi Everyone
I know there are a lot of information floating around regarding timelines for 457 visa but I just want to ask the basic question.
As per the link below, the timeframe is 3 months for a high risk country applicant.

Now, coming to my question, wanted to know if this 3 months time is for
A - All 3 steps i.e. business sponsorship, nomination and employee visa application
OR
B - Employee visa application.
FYI, I have lodged the application on Nov 2, 2010, uploaded all the documents alongwith Health insurance and did my chest x-ray examination today. The doctor should send the report to DIAC in a day or two.
Just to add here, On 4-Nov, it says the Medicals have been received (wow that was quick considering I did my chest x-ray on the same day)
Any idea, based on user experiences, when should the visa be approved?

Why doesnt the gov replace this inconvenient rule and instead like charge a visa transfer fee.
Anyway NZ is a nice place for a couple of days or a week, I never been there.
To say how long it takes to change the visa i hope someone can provide his experience........anyone there gone to NZ
