but i guess for already lodgded visa ,CSL n MODL still exist and its given pref the new rules are for fresh application.my concern is as of now for old application how quick DIAC is clearing CSL,MODL application

Hello pple... Just wanted to share a bit of good news.. My visa has been granted!!! Just wanna thank all the BE posters for all the advise and information they've provided and shared. Been a rather dormant user but that;s only cos most of my questions are already answered within the forum. I'm over the moon about it......!!! Once again.. thanks!!!

As for all those still waiting for their visas to be approved, best of luck!!!

don't worry people applied in May 09 from our country are waiting, you case officer will be doing his best, security verification takes time in our country and i hope u know y. so just wait for your turn, best of luck.

Yes, you are not alone, i applied in Nov 09 (Electronic Engineer), from Pakistan, CO assigned and asked for further documents, medical, PCC, Form80 in Feb 10, i submitted in March 10; since than complete silence.

as majority of the 2009 may june july and onwards pakistani applicants at this forum are still waiting for visas so expecting anything good for yourself would be day dreaming ..certainly the guys who have been waiting for visas for 16-17 months were/are as deserving as us and I dont see that why would you (or me) would get visa before the dozens of pakistanis who has been waiting much longer than us ...I know this is bitter but it is true

some people will say that individual cases are different but the general trend is clear before you and certainly few cases here and there can get delyaed due to their particular circumstances but when majority are facing delayes than it is clear that something is terribly wrong

Hi Everyone,

I came to Australia in July 2007, after completing certificate 3 in patisserie and diploma in hospitality I applied for 886 visa in November 2009, i got my state sponsorship in month of June 2010, I heard nothing after that. I would appreciate very much if someone could give me an idea how long do I have to wait for the visa to be granted.

No-one can accurately predict a timeline for any visa. Each application is different and will require different amounts of processing, and it is impossible to say at any point in the process how long an applicant will have to wait.

Hi all

Haven't been on for a while as we requested our application be put on hold. I mentioned in a previous message we were going through the process to adopt four little girls...well we are almost there apart from the final court date. So it will soon be official we will be a family of nine (we have 3 of our own children already)

E-mailed our case officer the other day who replied almost immediately () telling us to hang until legal adoption papers are through, then we can crack on with things.

So hopefully things will start moving again pretty soon.

All the best to everyone still rocking on in the 'November thread' it'll be worth the wait.

Does it make any difference if someone replies on behalf of case officer or case officer himself replies to a query?

Does that mean that case is being processed and is in custody of case officer?

Hanging on the straws in middle of a rough sea, 10 months gone by and still waiting for even medicals and PCC.

Doesn't make any difference. Sometimes Case Officers sometimes get Support Officers to reply on their behalf, doesn't affect the content of the reply though, its just as valid.
