Unlucky because there is nothing wrong with your application and still you havent yet got the case officer.
S4M,when would I get a caseofficer according to you if I have lodged application on 14th December 2007.Looking at the timelines of many in december applicants thread,I feel May 1st week is the time to hear something.Your views on this?

thats depend on weather ur application is online or paper based. Becoz if its online application u will hear something soon becoz i know one guy applies in last week of oct already got visa he is from india s well. Best of luck for ur future.

I do also May 2007 applicant - Sir 495 - psper based application -
File allocated to CO- 13th May 2008, Request forom CO- 3 June,
Submitted all requested documents - 30 June

Now how much time would my application take for finalization ?

How are Character Checks carried out? Even after submitting Police Certificates from all countries lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years, does DIAC conduct its own investigation from foreign intelligence agencies?

Have filled form 80 as charector certificate.
Police clearance for home country have applied in passport ofice and for Australia - have filled federal police clearance form and sent to my hole town in Australia The federal police has issued me a clearance certificate but took about 5 monts.

Hi Stranger, Im going to be applying to ACS and am getting my employer references now.
I am getting a job description on the letter head. Do you think that would suffice? Anyone else have any info on this please provide ur input.
Also do you have to be doing the same role for the past 4 years. In my case i have been promoted to the role of an IT consultant and am doing it for the past 2 years. Would that be an issue?

My medical is going to be expired on 23rd of August 08, so I have asked my agent about fresh medical and he says yes, I should submitt fresh medical.
Shall I gone through fresh medical test or shall I wait for decision. As my file is open on 3rd June and I have about 1 month before medical expiration.
Or would it be good idea of submitting fresh medical without any requirement from my case officer?

Don't know if this will help or make you more worried but if you look at the August 2006 applicants thread started by Nalin( also high risk) you'll see he only just got his visa now - about 12 months after mine!(I was one of the last UK ones to get it).

Hi,

There are both ways to collect PCC from police station and from passport office. I Thnk that passport office PCC much more authentic, The procedure is to contact SP office regarding this matter and fil a form, they will contact your near by police station and will conirm that you do not have any criminal record andwill issue a certificate, than you will have to submit this to passport office and they will issue you a PCC.

another one is - directly contact passport office and PO will send a request to your city HQ and remaining procedure is same.
this is bit time consuming and may take a week to month depeds on your contact with local police station.

Hi, Prash...I think you should submit fresh medical before asking your CO as you may know after getting visa you must have to validate your visa before your medical or PCC expire.

Say your visa grant on 20th August, than you must have to enter into Australia before 23rd August to validate your visa which will really difficult...I think now all clear to you...
