INDIA MAY2007 STILL WAITING
Where is my case officer
MODL C,C++ specialist from INDIA ( HIGH RISK COUNTRY )
App. sent to DIAC 2nd MAY..2007.
Charge money from credit card on 28th MAY 2007
PCC, MEDICAL, IELTS send unreq. 3rd DEC..2007
MEDICAL RECEIVED IN SYDNEY 17th dec..2007
How long it will take now i am frustated . I belive all of them got there VISA now i am the only one left.Nothing heard from anyone after i send my application to DIAC.
plzz advice me.

Slowly......
As of 5 February the ASPC Admin Section is processing applications as
follows:
Onshore Applications: receipting and acknowledging applications received on
4 February 2008.
Offshore Applications received after 1 September 2007: receipting and
acknowledging applications received on 4 February 2008.
Offshore Applications received prior to 1 September 2007:
All applications with a valid payment have now been receipted. The ASPC
is acknowledging offshore applications received on 20 August 2007.
Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect
the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received
and does not delay processing of the application.
Once an application has been acknowledged it will be allocated to a case
officer for further assessment as soon as possible, however, the ASPC
receives a large number of applications and you will not be contacted
immediately.
PROCESSING AND ALLOCATION INFORMATION - For the week of 5 February 2008
Applications lodged on or before the dates shown below have been allocated
to case officers for further processing.
Onshore Skilled visas (permanent and provisional)
Student/Graduate applications - Class DD and DE visas
Paper based applications: 6 July 2007 (subclass 880), 28 August 2007
(subclass 881) and 28 August 2007 (subclass 882)
E-lodged (on-line) applications: 23 July 2007 (subclass 880) and 25 August
2007 (subclass 881) and 25 August 2007 (subclass 882)
Onshore Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) (SIR) – Class UX visas
All applications: all applications are now allocated to case officers
New Zealand Citizen (Residence) - Class DB visas
All applications: all applications are now allocated to case officers
Skilled Migration visas - All paper based applications for Class BN, BQ,
BR, UX and UZ visas
(Subclasses 134, 136, 137, 138, 139, 495 and 496): 15 February 2007
e-lodged Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) applications: 17 August
2007
General Skilled Migration visas– Class VE, VF,VB and VC visas
(subclasses 175, 176, 475, 476, 885, 886, 887, 485 and 487)
E-lodged (on-line) applications: 21 September 2007
Paper based applications: allocations yet to commence

Whilst I do feel very sorry for you having to wait, I am afraid that India is classed as a 'high risk' country and will take a while for your application to be processed.
My husband is from a high risk country also and our case took 19 months.
The delays are usually down to the country of origin taking a while to respond to requests for internal and security checks. I know my husbands country of origin were in no hurry at all to process these and our CO was patiently waiting for this info.
Sadly there is nothing you can do except play the waiting game.
Its not easy and I hope you hear soon.

So ur husband is from which country and what he do. it took 19months from the date of application i belive its too long. wHAT TYPE OF JOB HE DO can u share his timeline with me and abt job verification as well.

I a from Asian, high risk country as well. But working and living in non-high risk country. I lodge my app online for 175 MODL on 17 Jan 08.

Im afraid its not DIAC's fault it took that long and they cannot in any way be blamed, it is down to his country processing requests for intelligence checks.
It was hard at the time but they are only doing their job and I would rather they checked him out thoroughly for their peace of mind.
We got the visa so it all came good in the end.

I have just started the process . I need your help for ACS skill assessment. Can you pls sahre the exp letter format used , project documets used. I am Mech engg by education so I need to go through the RPL , if you have the same case ,can you pls share the RPL doc as well.. Thanks.
