Re: INDIA MAY2007 STILL WAITING
Whilst I do feel very sorry for you having to wait, I am afraid that India is classed as a 'high risk' country and will take a while for your application to be processed.
My husband is from a high risk country also and our case took 19 months. The delays are usually down to the country of origin taking a while to respond to requests for internal and security checks. I know my husbands country of origin were in no hurry at all to process these and our CO was patiently waiting for this info. Sadly there is nothing you can do except play the waiting game. Its not easy and I hope you hear soon. |

Im afraid its not DIAC's fault it took that long and they cannot in any way be blamed, it is down to his country processing requests for intelligence checks. It was hard at the time but they are only doing their job and I would rather they checked him out thoroughly for their peace of mind. We got the visa so it all came good in the end. |
