Hi, Had a reply to our email today from POPC saying that CPVs are currently taking approximately 15 months from lodgement date to being allocated a case officer. One more month to go then for us!!! Great news for everyone getting a case officer this week and also the lucky people getting their red stars. Ann

Hi, I emailed PVC (POPC) on July 9th and this is the reply I received -

Dear Matthew We are currently assessing applications received in March 2008, and therefore anticipate that your application will be assigned to a case officer in approximately two months time. The case officer will usuallycontact you within 2-3 weeks of the application being assigned to them. Information about parent visas is available on our website athttp://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/family-visas-parent.htm and inBooklet 3 – Parent Migration athttp://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1129.pdf

Hope this helps?

Cheers

Matt

Now, seeing that March 08 applicants are getting CO's now, am I on the right track to assume that April 08 applicants will get theirs in August 09? Or does it just depend how many they have to get through for each month, ie' maybe 150 people applied in March and only 105 people applied in April, meaning there would be a big jump from the March to May applicants.

Just a thought anyway, its a pity we cant get real (ish) time updates from immigration. It seems like we've been waiting a lifetime
They are pretty much on 16 months from Ack Date. It used to be 14-16 months but during the middle of the year it slows down due to visa numbers sent and the new tax year for allocations. So I would expect it would go a little faster now and possiblly back down to 15 or 14 months wait for a CO.

Its quite predictable actually compared to some other visa classes!

hi

This has been a very busy and successful few days for the CPVs, congratulations to all who have their CO and also the red star. Good luck to all who are in April hoping you will hear soon. The tracker list is getting better each day.

Having been reading through Form 80, we (myself & wife) are debating whether or not the application form we filled in, included the majority of the questions.

Did the application form change at some time to included this info up front? I know that most of the applicants preceding us have been requested to fill in form 80 on reaching case officer stage.

Can anyone shine a light on this?

We are preparing a form 80 just in case!

Cheers

Matt.
