wow this is a long thread!!
have dived in and read bits but was wondering whether you could help.

the visa 121 is for company sponsored residency yes?
so the company has to lodge the visa application?

i.e. OH would have to have the medicals/job/job description/benifits/salary etc all sorted out before the visa applicaiton is lodged?

OH has worked for the company for a few years and we want to transfer over to OZ.

So am i right in thinking that if all this took place theoretically next week, and it was all lodged then we are talking about feb 2011 (6months) before it is given a case officer??

and then how long after that till the visa was ranted??

can the company keep the job open for that length of time??

cheers for any help or insight into the process

Hi there,
ENS 121 is employer nominated.There are 2 parts to this type of visa;
Your OH employer nominates a position for this type of visa and lodges an application for approval of the nomination to the DIAC.DIAC approves the nomination if appropriate
Next DIAC look at the visa application from you which is then granted if in order.
The two processes can be handed in together, which is the recommended way or the nomination can be put in first. Police checks, medicals can be lodged at the time of application or when requested for by the CO.Here is a link to DIAC webisite with information regarding 121.
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/ens/

Hope this helps.

I just got the info from my agent, both the nomination and the visa application have been transferred from Paramatta to the Centre of Excellence in Perth. Hopefully, Perth can speed up the process.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to update all of you that my PR was granted half an hour back.

Both nomination and PR were approved at the same time and by the same guy.

My timeline is nom applied 19/03 application applied 24/03. Both approved 06/09.

Interestingly I applied in Parramatta and my application was approved from Perth. I know that some of the applications were transferred to Perth/Melb and all those people got an email/comm from Immi about the same. I didn't get anything.

KEN, buddy you are next.. just hang in there...good luck.

Good luck all of you.

Cheers

Congratulations Ashish!!!!.. good starter for the week..

Ken, its a parramatta effect (slow, lethargic and too process oriented) causing the hurdle .. I guess its just a matter of day or two or mostly a week for you to get..

Wishing you good luck mate!!.
