Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Howdy ppl
Congrats to all who received their letters today! It must be such a relief.
My first post to the forum, though have to admit, been following it closely for few days. I just updated the spreadsheet with my timelines.
So, its clear that for some strange reason unknown to us, Melbourne is super speedy and Paramatta pathetically slow in granting the Visas. And this is irrespective of the profession they applied under. My question to you all then is, what governs the filing of the application? Can I be living and working in Melbourne and still file in Paramatta? The agent appointed by my company, for some weird reason filed it in Paramatta as they also are based out of Sydney.
Can someone please enlighten me? As if this wasn't mandated to be submitted in Sydney, when this all is over, I'd like to sue my agent for ineptitude and not having client's best interests at heart. dunno if i can do that or not

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Hi Guys,
I just received the most precious email in my life!
My ENS 856 visa has been granted.
Timeline:
Application lodge: 16/02/2010
Visa Granted: 07/06/2010
HR Country
Occupation: Computing Professional (ASCO 2231-79)
I've been calling DIAC once a week to ask for update and always hearing the same answer saying "still in process" and no CO yet.
Special thanks to BE!

Thanks you all for the congrats.
It's a good feeling, fu.... waiting is over. Now we can move back into normal mode and plan the future.
fingers crossed to all others. But I'm sure you will get the ticket sooner or later, but you'll get it.

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
When I went into Immo 5 weeks ago, no CO was assignet to my case.
I applied for Bridge Visa B to do a overseas business trip.
The lady at the cunter called the ENS team, because they can not grant a B visa.
In this moment I got a CO and 30 min later I spoke to him.
I had the chance to look into my file and saw that another officer had my file in April but she did'nt finalise it and now she was on leave.
The CO was not happy about the situation. But thats life and it is how it is.
It's not against the Immi-Office, we're all humans and we can make mistakes.
I my opinion, you should ask directly after 5 months. If you get your ticket earlier thats fine.

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Just had a phone call from Himself at work, he's just had an email from our agent (she is a dedicated agent who works for his employer) saying that we are now permanent residents
I'm so happy I can't believe it.
We didn't even know that the nomination had even been approved!!
Nomination and Application submitted (with Meds and PCCs): 29th March
Office: Parramatta
Occupation not on CSL
From LR country
Visa Granted: 8th June
We also had an 18+ dependant that we thought would cause problems, but they were obviously happy with the proofs of dependancy we provided as we didn't hear anything back from them. (Thank God, the lazy bugger can get off to Uni now)
The first we heard was that the visa had been granted.
We weren't expecting any news for the next couple of months - so good luck everyone still waiting
