Thank you for that. You will get an SPECIFIC email from your Case Officer with his name in it. He will specifically ask to provide medicals. That's when you take meds.

Don't be too optimistic. Once you lodged an application, medical forms will be availabe to download with applicant name printed on it. It's an automatic process, so don't go for medical until you asked by a case officer via personal email.

I'm in Cat 4 now and I see the same message. It appeared when I enquired about something about a year after I submitted the application.

I don't think it makes much difference. They are not processing Cat 4 applications until all higher categories are finished - which means that they'll be stuck in the system for years to come.

Not a chance. They will definitely not be finalised this year. The deadline 'end of 2011' was removed a long time ago.

My personal guess is that offshore applicants will get refunds if they can't make it to Priority 3 group. With onshore applicants it will be more complicated but the government might require them to gain experience in their field. I don't think they'd send people home after 5 years of waiting.

I'm getting a re-assessment on my skills, so hopefully I will move to Priority 3 soon.

Yep, it's gone. No more deadlines or timelines.

I've been living in Australia for 6 years, applied back in 2009 as well.
