When you say processed have you got a CO?
we're hoping to go on 136 modl and we have a CO and have had meds and pccs done but just fed up waiting for final stage. Problem is we have booked a reccie for july(brisbane) to validate visa( as we thought!) but are just wondering now if it will come in time? I know there is plenty of time but can't really do much now until we can def. say we are going.:curse:
Our agent seems to have gone to ground, not sure why bu no replies to my last two emails, have emailed LCU but they probably won't reply coz they will only deal with agent( I'm guessing) so just fed up with it all.
I can't believe ( we sound like Victor Meldrew don't we!!!) you are still waiting, i thought spouse visas were just a few weeks? Where abouts are you in process?I'm guessing you are heading to Brisbane as well?

Yeah Brisbane.

Went for my MEDS on MArch 4th. Got a call from my CO on MOnday saying she still hadnt received them.

Phoned the panel and they are on Holiday until Friday so I cannot even get my recorded delivary number for her until then.

Fortunately for me I have a direct contact number for her and she seems really nice. To complicate matters more the missus is having to go back to NZ in June as her visa has expired.

This wouldnt be too much of aproblem IF we got our visa for that timescale, she could meet me in Brisbane because she has to be there when I arrive.

Im sure someone else on here said Spouse visa's are processed a lot quicker than other types but reading how long some folk are having to wait on here is driving me nuts. I feel for some of you, I really do.

I remember reading your postings now, what a nightmare. Its all the little things that make it so frustrating as well, like your panel doc being on hol. The last time our elusive agent emailed was when he wanted to know the exact date our meds were sent off so he could tell the CO and our panel doc was on hol. and no one else knew it so we had to wait till he came back( another week waiting....) and so it goes on.
Well, I hope you get some news soon, you gave me some encouragement anyway because i've decided seeing as your CO was so nice, to email mine and ask her for her help. At the worst i reckon she won't reply coz we have an agent but I'm so fed up i think its worth a try, especially seeing as agent appears not to be here( probably gone to Aus. on hols....)
Good luck, living in Aus should be doddle after all this lot......

thanks for that but got in a paddy coz I couldn't get address for CO so emailed agent again in a mood and he replied(!!!!) that CO had just replied to him saying that meds have been finalised but big CO wants some more docs about Mike's work. Didn't no whether to feel relieved meds were ok and that was all they wanted or frustrated coz here we are still sending more stuff in?
Anyway have scanned off docs i think he will need and have asked agent to try and sort asap.
Another week or so of waiting, i guess now....

I can't believe some of these agents - how dare they not reply to your emails! Agents of all people should realise how incredibly important and life-altering this process is for you and do everything they can to make it easy for you.

I think you will be fine for July - in fact I reckon in the next week or so we are going to get a happy post from you telling us your visa has been granted

I know , i think the augustees are causing a few stresses through out the forum though, we are ever so quick to jump on the 2008 applicants when they are unhappy that they have not got a CO, we lay in wait

Potentially stupid question alert: I don't get how there are folk who applied in November being granted visas, when there are folk who applied in May (for example) still waiting for acknowledgements? Is it just that there is a big element of randomness to the way ASPC works?

Well, it goes like this ....... er, no one knows!

The online system set up in Sept has been overtaking earlier applicants since it started but there are still some waiting from September, a lot still waiting in October and they have just begun allocating in November.
I didn't think there are people from May still waiting for acknowledgements but I am aware that there are many still waiting from August,(when there was an enormous volume of applications sent in, all trying to beat the deadline for changes to the points system from Sept 1st) although there has been quite a few visa grants there this week

Some applications are slower as they are from high risk countries and some are just more complicated but I still think there is a degree of luck or bad luck in when you get processed.

Good luck

Sam
