Current Processing Times

Re: Current Processing Times
Hi all,
Just read this thread and i am now depressed!!!!!!
Our main application (136 MODL) was acknowledged on 15th June 07 and we got our Case Officer on 1st Aug 07 who requested our meds and police checks but we had already front loaded them so they were already in Sydney ready for our case officer to request them to be sent to her.
Our agent has told us that we should have our visa by the end of Sept but going by this thread that Sept timescale is way out!!!!!
We have a buyer for our house and we are going to start the paperwork for it today. We have sold it ourselves and saved a fortune in estate agents fees.
If you know houses are going quite quick in your area it is definatly worth trying to sell it yourself. We have saved approx £4,500.
I have rang our agent panicking today to get her advice on the timescales but she is on a day off. Typical.
Oh well, think i will have a stiff drink!!!
Tracey

hi all,
application lodged on 12oct06
med and pcc rcvd on 28june07.
got co on 17july07.
I am in MODL , high risk country, india
its over 11 months gone, in last reply co say about the application routine checkups, ca anybody tell me what it is? as below
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your e-mail in relation to your visa application under
Australia's General Skilled Migration programme.
Please be advised your medical examinations have been received by the
Local Clearance Unit.
Your case officer is currently awaiting the finalisation of these medical
examinations. When your case officer has received these results they will
contact you if they require additional information/documents to assist in
the processing of your visa application.
Your application is currently undergoing routine processing.
You may be aware that the assessment of all applications involves both
internal processes and possible liaison with external agencies. These
procedures take time and unfortunately in some circumstances this process
can take 6 months or longer to complete. Your application cannot be
finalised until the results of these processes have been returned to your
case officer.
Please Note: Some processes are undertaken by external agencies and
unfortunately DIAC has no influence over the time taken to complete checks.
Rest assured your application is still under active consideration and once
the results are received your case officer will contact you if they have
any additional requirements.
We appreciate your patience in this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Department of Immigration and Citizenship
can anybody tell me how much time ASPC will take for visa outcome

Re: Current Processing Times
Partner and I are UK psychiatric nurses. We are waiting for ANMC approval which we hope will be in about 8-10 weeks.
We are in the process of gathering the info for the Skilled independent visa which we are doing ourselves..... Hopefully.
How long will it take (approximately) from sending the initial visa documents to being able to go to OZ?
What does front loading medicals and police checks mean?
What can we do to speed it up?
How do you know if you are high or low priority?
Please help as we are getting anxious.

Re: Current Processing Times
Latest fro ASPC.
And for those July applicants like me, yes you are reading this correctly. They advanced 2 day last week in acknowledging and none whatsoever in receipting Offshore paper applications.
As of 14 September 2007 the ASPC admin section is processing as follows:
Onshore Applications: receipting applications received on 24 August 2007
and acknowledging applications received on 24 August 2007.
Offshore Applications: receipting applications received on 23 July 2007 and
acknowledging applications received on 14 June 2007.
Applicants and representatives who have not authorised e-mail communication
will not receive separate advice that the ASPC has received and receipted
an application and will receive the standard acknowledgement letter and
receipt details in due course.
Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect
the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received
and does not delay processing of the application.
Once an application has been acknowledged a case officer is appointed to
assess each application as soon as possible, however, the ASPC receives a
large number of applications and you will not be contacted immediately.
Processing and Allocation Information - For the week of 18 September 2007
