never mind the 6 month wait Ive been waiting over 7 months, medicals sent 24/9 and cleared 17/11 and stilll no visa, why are people getting visas who sent and got medicals cleared a month after to me?
I am totally fed up is any one else waiting as long as I am, usually when medicals clear, they get them a week later, who is in the same boat?

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much consistency when it comes to time-frames. I believe it comes down to how efficient your case officer is and how often they're at their desk (there seem to be an awful lot of case officers working part-time and many more on holiday/maternity leave/extended coffee breaks at any given time). Some are just slow workers.

It's not right and it's not fair, but it's the way it is unfortunately and it's the same with every visa subclass.

Hi The Murrays,
We are in the same boat May 21st applicants meds recieved 7.8.07 assume cleared LCU have not answered any of our e-mails yet.
No news at all so dont know if we have a co or not, very frustrating when June, July and even closer months are recieving their visas, oh well another day closer to finding out.

Hi Claire,

We sent our app on 25th July and have only just received pre-ack, we are hoping to get a file reference number before Xmas, but doesn't look that way

People who have sent about the same time as us have done meds etc and are justing waiting for an answer, it is frustrating.

As they say, good things come to those who wait !!

Donna.

Hiya,

Me and the hubby applied in July and we received our acknowledgement about 4 weeks ago, just hoping to get a FRN before Xmas.

Sit tight, not long.

No one can challenge them.. If they decided not to work for the whole week then also we cant do anything against the department.. There is no rule.

Of course there are rules. You just have to be realistic and keep your expectations in check.
