Im going to near Bendigo in Victoria as that is where my sister is and she is sponsoring us, im a Project co-ordinator and my husband is an office manager. We aren't expecting a quick response at all, im due to give birth any day so im not too worried about it at the moment.

I posted my 457 application in on the 1st April, not heard anything yet to say they have received it, how long does this take? I live in Sydney at moment so post won't take long to Parra.
When do I have to get the medical? I hear it can be just a chest x ray instead of full med examination, do they tell me this? Help!

Hi,

I hope to join the club this month...Got delayed because I didnt receive the employer reference letter from my mgr in US.

I have a couple of queries :

- I am filing a paper application. How long does it take for the application to be accepted (money debited from the credit card)by the department? I am currently pursuing a one year MBA and I need to get my application filed by 31st May.

- My nominated occupation is chemical engineer and have got a positive assessment for the same but my entire experience is in software engg. Will I be considered in the CSL?

by end of May, 09 ( so by June 2009 – beginning )

• The Australia immigration target for this year is 190,300 immigrants. This is 20 per cent higher than the 2007-08 financial year. It is even higher than the previous record intake of 185,099 immigrants in 1969-70.

• The government will announce the final number of immigrants in the lead up to the national budget to be delivered on May 12.

would like to join the April list sent form off end of march money taken the start of April. Hoping to go over on a 121 with the family. There is myself the OH and our 2 boys 4 & 5. Wondering if anyone knows a time frame for a 121. But presently just sitting back and waiting.
