Re: April 2008 Applicants

Hi there

Just a quick update from us: we got an email today requesting another set of additional documentation.

On 24 September our CO asked for more work experience documentation. This time, we have to send in proof of tertiary qualifications (primary and secondary applicant).

I don't know of anyone else who's had two document requests but I'm really hoping this is the last set of stuff we need to send through – our nerves are already shattered!

Cheers
Abby (& Tim)

I got something very important to tell you guys.

Although the application Status on the e-Visa System has not been changed a bit since region manager contacted us on Nov 6th,, which changed the status to “application being processed further”, we have received a message from Case Officer for the first time today.

We got the PR Visa Granted today!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Here’s some info for your reference.

Application Type:Class VE, subclass 175 Skilled Independent
Lodgement Date: 15 April 2008
Visa Grant Date: 25 November 2008
Initial Entry Date: No Later Than 27 May 2009
Country: Japan
MODL: Specialising in Java
Work Experience: 4.5 years in IT field at the time of lodgement

[Secrets]
I claimed through the post-lodgement enquiry twice on Oct 21st and Oct 28th to expedite the process and received email from a region manager on Nov 6th informing us of Case Officer Assignment in 2–3 weeks.
Than I claimed directly to the region manager to further accelerate the process and it worked…we got PR visa.

[COLOR="Red"][SIZE="5"]congrats on the visa and good luck [COLOR="red"] where is it your heading?

AAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :curse:

Why won't those evil COs look at my visa application

Thanks RobertC, I hope you'll be the next in the CO line. About what I did to expedite the process other than Post Lodgement Inquiry, I sent payslips every month to let them know I'm here. I think this also worked well.

Thanks kevncarlz, We are thinking about Brisbane or Melbourne. But we have not decided where to reside yet. As a matter of fact, we have never been to Oz before. Wife and I plan to visit Brisbane at the end of this year and hope to have a feeling where to go.

Congrats Mel :) We were all set to come over on a 457 and our 175 was granted before we left, so hopefully the same will happen for you.

Where in Perth are you headed for?

Cheers

Thanks b!

I hope that's the case for us too!

We're looking at NOR, the company is providing us with loads of assistance in finding somewhere etc, but we stayed in Clarkson last time we visited and would be happy round there, Kinross, Tapping, etc don't mind really, but I guess we'll see what's available when we get there!

Oh, the ocean highway, can't wait!!
