So, you are 32.
That answer is worth 30 points!
Seriously though, DIAC's website is quite clear - 25 to 32, you'll get 30 points. Just make sure you apply before your 33rd birthday (and take into account the time difference with Australia!)

It seems that you don't catch what the debate is about.

There is no debate. DIAC have laid it out in a fairly straightforward manner. It's not about you being in your 33rd year - it's about you being 32, and therefore entitled to 30 points, not 25. As long as you apply before your 33rd birthday (again, taking into account the time differences), you can claim 30 points.
They're not trying to trip you up or confuse you.

It's a cultural thing. In the west, we are (for example) 32 until the 33rd anniversary of our birthday. In some other cultures (particularly the Indian sub-continent), you are (for example) 33 once the 32nd anniversary of our birthdate is over. As NewJersey says, this question has been asked so many times on here, usually by people whose usernames indicate that they are not caucasian, for it to be fairly obvious there is potential for confusion.

There is still nothing to debate though surely? The question has been answered and of course DIAC are applying the western thinking.
