Default New SOL points test, help!!!

Hi

I have been reading alot about the new SOL points system and basically, when I add up the points from my degree, age, English score I am definitely eligible to obtain one; I get 65, which as we all know is the minimum pass mark.

However, I have been in Oz on a WHV within the past two years, and don't have a full 12 months experience in my field/profession.

Would I still be granted a Visa based on me achieving 65 points? or will I have to work for 12 months in my "nominated profession"; which is business analyst?

Thanks

Basic Work experience, the 12 month one, is in addition to the points test, so you will have to wait before making an application. Have you checked the skills assessment end of it as well, many people go ahead calculating points before realizing that skills assessment is a pain in you know where.

Yeah thats what I figured, I was actually hoping some bright spark would come up with some magical alternative to getting back in!

Oh well, 12 months of hard labour ahead!

I think sponsorship is my only other option, however companies willing to do so are pretty hard to find. Unless anyone has any suggestions where/how to look for them?

The requirements from DIAC for the minimum work experience is quite liberal. However, they need a positive work assessment. These assessment bodies may require anywhere from 1-8 years with a combination of a minor/major or no qualification. Generally, apart from the points test, its the assessment bodies' requirements that decide whether you get to apply for a visa or not.

By liberal, I meant that 12 months is enough (but it has to be met), compared with the assessing body's requirements which rarely expect 12 months
