Surely, it must be with an assessor for them to know to request documents they think are missing?

I care not - my mind has developed its own way of dealing with all the madness and uncertainty. Just let the men in white coats take me away now.

Maybe I should move to France. Bonjour, je t'aime ACS. Je voudrais un assessment positive.

Even I have seen somewhere mention that code does not matter much and they will see best code to assign. On Immigration site it is mentioned some legislative changes will take place on 15th Feb.

http://www.immi.gov.au/legislation/a...nts/feb-15.htm

May be some changes in MODL list and ACS is waiting for that

:)

Better concentrate on your ACS...Nothing new in the legislation regarding CSL and MODL...its something else....

Is assessment letter the only way thru which you come to know of the result

OR

Do they send the result on your email id too?

You shouldn't be too worried about recession, since visa application itself would take another year or so. By that time, i feel there should be some improvement.

I guess, letter shall only tell you the results .. My status changed to "Case Finalised" after I got the letter delivered .. strange !

My agent said, that after ACS, it shud take around 4-5 months max to get the visa .. I sometimes hope, taking longer shud be better ..

Do we need to decide on the city bfr we land .. or can we wait for the job to decide that?

Well..you can go to any city if you are going for 175...but if you are thinking for state sponsorship (176) then you have to look for job in that state only...and keeping in my mind the nature of IT work..I think 175 is best thing..den you will be free to fly aywhere in AUS without limits...

So go for 175..let it take time...

I am a Dec 1st applicant.
Changed to 'In Process' on 14th or 15th Jan.
Changed to 'With Assessor' - today

Your timeline tells you applied before me.
Isn't your status changed yet?
Have you checked recently?

Earlier I have emailed to know about status of my application and there was no response. On 10th Feb status changed to 'With Assessor'. And today I got reply to my email that my case finalized on 10th Feb and I will receive result soon (21 days ).

I am hoping to get in a week's time. It was appeal application received by ACS on 24th November.

So we can conclude that status on website is not that true.

I think I read somewhere that each specialization has designated assessors. Therefore, if you have a popular specialization then the assessor might take a while to process through them all.

Well...I don't think SAP is more popular specialization .. Even in India SAP consultants are not available easily....As per my thinking no. of people applying for Java/.Net is nearly 10 times more than people applying for SAP Assesment..

It's just matter of luck, when my CO will see my file..OR may be I am in trouble..they are waiting for some informartion from my employers or something like that..Sign is not good for me :curse:

Anyways!!

Hope for the best and be ready for the worst!

Re: ACS--November applicats

Hi

I am a SAP consultant working in Sydney on Visa 457 since last 1.5 years. i applied for ACS RPL on 26th NOV ..

I came across same situation on 11th FEb. As ACS has asked me also to Provide the detailed experience letter from company xxxx.

However I cannt understand the reason behind this, as the company for which ACS is asking detailed info is one in which I had worked in my fucntional job not IT. After leaving this company I changed my career into IT (SAP Consulancy). Moreover I have provided them the 6 Years experince in IT already and I understand that they have accepted tht also as 6 years ( because they haven't asked for any other company) just mentioned one.

Now its very tough for me to arrange for this because I am outside delhi (India) since last 6 years.

FYI , I am a SAP consultant with qualification as 3 years Diploma in Engineering ( I think it serves as Tertiary Qualification)and SAP Certification + I do have 6 years experince in SAP Consultancy out of that 1.5 years in Sydney only as I am here on visa 457 since May 2007.

Could you pl revert whether the Sat.Declaration will be enough for me?

As I have fear if they dont recognise my diploma qualification ( which they should , as per George Lombard) they might be looking for some IT experience in first company for which they have asked for detailed exp letter..

really frustrated in this process ..irony is that one side IT-SAP is on CSL and other side ACS doesnot consider the SAP Certification as accepted Vendor Qualification..Really Weird isn't it?

I understand your frustration...SAP certification has more weightage than any other MCDBA, MCS or even Orcal certification....You can clear any certification just by going through testking..and even if you are in high Secondary...But to get SAP certified..you need to either have soild 2 years SAP exp or you need to get the training from SAP Labs it self..that costs thousnds of dollars..Don't know how has created such stupid rules in ACS..its really bullshit...

I hope they understand the SAP certification value...!!! don't worry you will be through!!

Looks like stau declaration should work for you as you have solid SAP exp and you are already in Oz...

good luck

Best of luck.

Sanjay,

This thread is for the applicants who have filed for skills assessment by ACS whereas the thread that you have mentioned and started by you is for applicants who have lodged their applications with DIAC for 175 visa.

Hi Lalit,
Did you mention MODL specifically or did you write only the ASCO code? I am worried coz I wrote only the ASCO code as 2231-79 and not the specialisation name.

In my first application I have not mentioned specilazation as such. At first place (ASCO code) I have mentioned 2231-17 and In experience page I have mentioned ASCO code 2231-79. I have not mentioned specialisation as such. But nn my appeal I have mentioned specialisation as well. But I came to know from various sites it does not matter much as they themself assign best code which suits.

Even I was worried last time about codes I mentioned.
