DIAC hasn't updated that email since I applied in March.

Generally speaking - online applications from March this year are currently being processed, paper based from October 2007. But there are exceptions to both i.e. an April 08 paper application recently got a grant, and there are still people waiting from last June.

I am currently in Oz on a 457 and applied 175 online on 20 Sep this month. There is a link on the 857 thread (I also applied for 857) that the processing time for an onshore 175 online application (low risk) is 6 months rather than the 12 months as stated on immigration's 175 section of the website.

Here is the line http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charter.../visas/8.0.htm

You still had to leave Oz for the visa to be granted isn't it? My online status hasn't changed since 20 Sep when I applied online.

Your CO emails you requesting your itinerary for departing Australia, so that they can finalise the visa. You collect the actual 'visa evidencing' from the mission/embassy at whichever country you choose to visit.

There are online applicants from 2007 still waiting so it's entirely normal for no movement to have been seen in your application in 10 days
