Wee question about TWP
Hi, I'm new to BE and the whole PR processing and my husband and I would like to move from Scoltand to Alberta, Canada.
After reading up on alot of info., I realise that the quickest way to enter Canada would be for Paul to apply for a TWP then PR. Well, his first task would be to find a job in Canada
I just wondered if once he has a job and a TWP, is he tied to that job throughout the whole process? Our concern is that once over there, we wouldn't necessarily like to stay in that particular area? Can he change jobs?
Any help would be appreciated.
PS Is it true that you only get 2 wks hols?

Welcome to BE,
As far as holiday entitlement from what I have seen it is generally lower than in the UK when you first start out and could be 2 weeks. I think it all depends on the job/line of work you are in and what position you are in to negotiate things like this.
If a TWP is issued, it would be for this employer only, so if you wanted to change job you would have to start the process again and the new employer would have to obtain a LMO unless the job is exempt from this.
Here is a link to the wiki article that gives some more info
Good luck
