Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Thanks for the reply.
I will order the notes today. I'm now very worried if you think the fact the 2 systems are showing different information so I will also send another webform today to ask for clarification (I'm sure they won't reply but hopefully they will update ecas/mycic to show correct information) I'll wait till the 29th August to decide what to do with the flight as it'll be expensive to change it.
Thanks again for your reply!

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
It's pretty normal for the two to show different statuses, so I wouldn't worry about that(I got all the paperwork through myCIC which, despite holding my readyforvisa emails, still insists my app & BGC is in progress over a month after I landed as a PR!) - it's less normal to go five weeks without hearing anything at all after a Decision Made note in eCAS. But your notes will tell you where you stand, so try not to worry too much
Thanks!

Wow! finally my wife spouse application completed -
finally CORP arrived today: Aug 17.
but marital status says: single?? should it not say married despite my detail being written at bottom of the CORP?
also the Place of birth missing one letter from end of it.
do I need to resend it to correct or it doesn't matter if my wife land as such?
thanks every one for all their help and information sharing which made the process so much easy! a big thank you all

I doubt the place of birth thing is of any significance. However, I am not so sure about the error in marital status - I will leave it to others better versed in this to reply.
Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
I don't think you need to worry. The sponsor info is on the COPR. I've seen exactly this before and the Applicant landed without issue. However, others may think differently. Letter off Place of Birth: I wouldn't worry about that.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Hello Expats,
I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife. We have been following / tracking people's progress through a different site, but I would also like to share my timeline here since we are now at the stage of waiting for feedback from the London office.
So our timeline is:
27 May 2017 - Application Received by CIC
28 June 2017 - AOR1
5 July 2017 - Medical Request
6 July 2017 - Sponsor Approval
13 July 2017 - Letter requesting Schedule A and Police Certificates (uploaded same day)
22 July 2017 - ECAS changes to In Process
26 July 2017 - Medical Completed
27 July 2017 - AOR2 (letter from LVO confirming file transfer)
28 July 2017 - Medical Passed
Please feel free to add these details to the spreadsheet for people's reference.
From what I can tell, it seems that it takes approx. 4-6 months from SA to Decision Made.
Generally speaking, anyone have any insight on the procedure the LVO follows with requesting the PA's passport and how long it takes to get it back?
Thanks and good luck to all!
Best,
Alex

1. 'sponsoring your phone'? So married or common law?
2. Roughly where are you living (e.g. London UK)?
LVO do not always ask for passports, is the PA from a visa exempt country? We did not get a passport request and received the CoPR immediately following DM on ECAS.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Post amended to wife.
I'm sure my wife might have a few words to say here...sign I need to get off the phone!
We are living in London.
My wife holds a passport from a Visa-exempt country.
We are planning to move in approx. 6 months so it seems very likely that we will have to go for the "dual intent" story at the border (i.e. retain bank accounts / funds in the UK, return ticket, and NOT say that moving permanently, etc.).

If you mean six months from now, I would personally be hopeful (but not certain) of you getting your CoPR by then. As I say, they do not always ask for passport copy for PA's from visa-exempt countries (guessing about 50 / 50 - no one knows why they ask and why they don't!). Asa I said, we went straight to CoPR.
Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
The notes on the CIC website for IMM5669 specifically say 'All applicants over the age of 18......'. The sponsor is not an applicant, so does not fill out another one of these forms (although the form does confusingly mention spouse, so I understand your confusion).
