re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
Hi all,
Just a quick one - we sent our application of the 14th of November, and it arrived on the 20th of November. We haven't heard anything from CIC yet. Can anyone share how long their first contact from CIC took, and in what form?
I assume 'application received' is the date they tell you in their first correspondence, not when our courier says it was delivered?
We applied from London, UK. Common-law.
Thanks

Stage 1 processing takes about 63 days, so you should hear by the end of this month. Not everyone gets an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) but most do these days.
If you look at the spreadsheet no November 2015 applicant have received sponsorship approval yet.
When did you do your medical? And do you mind if I add you to the spreadsheet?

Our application was received on the 23rd of October and we received the Sponsorship Approval the other day (letter dated 30th December).
The letter gives a unique reference number that you can then use to log in to the cic site to track your application going forward.
Good luck!

Hi, just quick one
on cic website there is info about payment
so my question is, if we want to pay online do we have to wait until 1st of april? thats how my husband understands it? He says that we cant apply in between feb-march and thats how he understands it which seems silly for me
we wanted to apply in feb once i pick up my new passport
what is IMM 5401 Payment Receipt? and how do i get it as its nowhere in printed forms to fill out
sorry for stupid questions but this process is so confusing for me and dont wanna do it wrong

Starting February 1st 2016, you will no longer be able to order new Payment Receipt forms (IMM 5401) from CIC.
Canadian Financial Institutions will continue to accept the IMM 5401 Payment Receipt until March 31st 2016.
As of April 1st, 2016, you will be required to pay Immigration and Citizenship fees online through CIC’s ePayment tool. Visit Pay your fees for more information.

Hi
1. Your spouse understands wrong. You can pay on line now or by the IMM 5401 which you order from IRCC up to 29/01/16 which can be used until 31/03/16. See: Pay your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children (including adopted children) and other family member outside Canada class fee – Canada

No idea, as they don't normally send them back to you. Did you send originals then?

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
I have just received the originals of my marriage certificate and apartment lease. We had sent original documents. We had been asked a few days before to submit photos and passport photocopy in order for them to complete COPR. If they follow the same order, I guess you should be close to COPR as well.

checking form 3901e and it states
if we are already married (6 months now) and in relationship for 3 years and living together 2,5 year - do we need those two declarations still?
do we still have to fill in IMM5409 statutory declaration of common law union?
for me spouse is husband and I understand we do not need them and write n/a on the form, but reading through forum seems like in CIC spouse means also common law? so confusing
If you are a common-law or conjugal partner, provide evidence that your relationship is genuine and continuing and has existed for at least 12 months prior to your application. Also provide details of the history of your relationship and at least two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your relationship supporting your claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing.

We are in process as of 29th December 2015, and medical results are also confirmed as received.
I found that the UCI number did not work to log in to ECAS, but the application number did.
