Too risky with Xmas post. I'll just flagpole after coming in as a visitor. On the back it says I just need to see a immigration officer and don't need to leave Canada. I guess more people flagpole so that easier?

Not risky if you use a courier. like Fedex, DHL and the like.
You can book an appointment to land at a Service Canada building but it can take a long time (weeks to months) to get an appointment.

Hi all, I landed on 24th December. All went smoothly. Paid charges for 2 extra suitcases with no issues. Had my 'goods to follow' list but had forgotten to add monetary value so I had to do that in a hurry with the immigration guy. Even 'old photographs' need a monetary value.
Anyhow, I got my social security number at the airport too. They were so welcoming and friendly.
I'm now enjoying Christmas break with the family in Toronto. Going to open a bank account when banks open tomorrow & then arrange for money to be transferred from my account in London. Any advice on how best to do that?
Will start looking for a job in January.

Hi Andrewnrit.....i never let anyone know of our application on this forum in regards to being added to the spreadsheet... but I checked in with this feed fairly often since applying for my husbands sponsorship. WE recieved a DM last monday and thought it would be nice to put the dates and progress of our time line on the spreadsheet to give hope to others
our dates are as follows:
*Outland Family Sponsorship - Via London Office (Married)
*Application received in Mississauga on Aug 21 2015
*Application opened on October 7 2015
*Sponsor Approval confirmed October 28th 2015
*ECAS updated my husbands application Saying "we started processing app on Nov 6"
*Decision Made on December 21st
Just awaiting CORP now (Hopefully any day now)
Medical done Aug 7th 2015

Couple of details missing that we need to be added to the spreadsheet please...
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
Thank you and hopefully you get your COPR soon

Hi!
okay so :
-The office that is processing phase 2 is LONDON
- We have had no requests from the offices (both canada for phase 1 and london Phase 2
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt ...not too sure what that means BUT my husband hold both a South African Passport AND a UK passport. we are here in the UK working and waiting out this process before we go to canada.....so i think he is visa exempt.....
-Current location of the principal applicant- We are located in Edinburgh Scotland....so Edinburgh?.....or i guess london would be the biggest city/processing hub
_Hopefully we will be getting COPR in the mail tomorrow or early next week. he or I have not recieved any emails with news or steps we are assuming all news from DM will be via mail.
Cheers

Hi All,
Hope all are well and enjoying the end of year festivities.
I received a "Decision Made" on the online portal prior to the 15th of December, but as of yet have not received a COPR (assuming that the DM is positive) nor have I received any other form of communication in relation to this. Reading the previous few posts I see that a few successful applicants received their COPR very soon after receiving their DM status online. Should I be worried at all at this stage? Do I try to contact them or continue waiting it out?
Thank you all in advance for your response(s), much appreciated!
