ATTENTION 2014 APPLICANTS
So in the past six or so months, London has been a bit chaotic in terms of applications. They are processing a bunch of applications from Islamabad to help with the backlog there, and as a result, a bunch of people who have requested processing in London have had their applications transferred to Mississauga or Ottawa.
If you applied in 2014, please post here and let us know which office is processing your application. It will say it in your sponsor approval letter, something along the lines of "Your file has been transferred to [x] for processing."

Ours states that the visa office selected was selected based on my relatives home address - London
OK, is this good or bad ? Yep worry wart !

(If there ever was another Islamabad) Well is kind of makes sense now in some way because I have applied for outland through London but every communication I got has been from "[email protected]". I don' have anything in my ECAS that says where it's been sent thought and we applied 28th of March 2014. That's all we have:
"1. We received Saicho Bob's application for permanent residence on March 28, 2014.
2. We started processing Saicho Bob's application on September 5, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received."
Also, my husband is in Birmingham but we just accepted an offer on the house so not sure how much longer this address will be valid.

My Application appears to be in Ottowa. Our Sponsorship approval said my application would now be forwarded to a 'processing centre abroad', then gave the address of the Ottowa office, then said that this office had been 'selected based on your relatives home address' - we both live in Scotland.

There is always a slowdown in spousal case processing over the summer for many reasons. Every effort is made to process these cases as quickly as feasible and any such delay would amount to perhaps two months a most. Major delays will occur for a very few cases with extra background checks based upon citizenship and countries of residence.

My application seems to have remained in Mississauga for further processing according to my wife's application email.
Presumably due to her putting her/our address in Toronto on the application.
