Default Spousal Sponsorship- via London

Hi,

I would love to hear from those that have been, or, are in the "Outside Canada" spousal sponsorship process. My husband, in Canada, was approved for sponsorship this week and my papers have been sent to London for processing. I am on tenderhooks regarding the timeline. Any information is greatly appreciated!

it took us a little over 3 months for the whole process including sponsorship. so you could hear something as quickly as 2 months from now.

Thank you for your reply!

Wow! That processing time is fast! Fingers crossed it's the same for my husband and I.

My OH and i are currently in the process, we are still awaiting sponsor approval, so you are a bit further ahead than us.

Thank you for all your responses. I came home from work today to a note from my mailman saying he was unable to deliver a UK packet as our letterbox is teeny. I am on tenderhooks hoping that it is good news from London......

I understand how you are feeling. It really is horrible having to wait around not knowing what's happening. London started processing my application on September 10th so looks like I still have a way to go too..

In the same boat as many people here - applied 18 weeks ago, approved & London starting processing 12 weeks ago. They returned some photos and said they didn't need any further paperwork nearly 6 weeks ago and since then...nada. Hopefully the passport request will come soon, it's working my last nerve.

A little bummed with trackitt to be honest - a bloke on there who London started processing 2 weeks after our application has already received his passport request but we're still waiting

I checked online yesterday and a decision has been made .. now granted i had every problem thrown towards me .. but about time .. i find when i have sent them more infomation, they usually get back to me in 5 weeks (usually asking for something else lol) .. there doesnt seem to be any pattern in which visa they deal with on a given day ..

Hurrah!! Great to hear someone getting good news!

In my case the packet I received from London yesterday was a request for my husband to pay the Right to Permanent Residence fee, ( yes, we made the mistake of not paying it at the initial stage), which he has since paid. They also returned all the pictures, cards etc., we had enclosed when we originally applied.

Anyone else at this stage? Any quick moves from London in requesting passports?
