I've not been asked for any further information so it'll be 5 weeks solid waiting tomorrow......by the way things are going I'm not expecting any news anytime soon. Although I do keep checking ALL the time just to make sure

What about taking into account any delays whilst IEC and CIC waited for documents? All together I am over 6 weeks but taking into account all delays I have been waiting 4 weeks 3 days

I found out yesterday on this forum that I need a Police certificate for Oz too as i'd spent 6.5 months there, so applied for this yesterday.

Am I more likely to get my visa approved quicker by: -
a) Applying now minus the Oz cert then submitting when they ask for it
b) Waiting another month for the Oz cert to arrive then applying

From what I've read I doubt i'd get an instant refusal without them asking for me to provide the police cert in XX days

You wuld not get an instant refusal, I forgot to provide a police certificate and they messaged me asking for it. But they will ask for it definitely.

Have you sent them an email requesting an update? There seems to be a growing list of us who have been approved ages ago but haven't been sent the LOI, or any kind of notification that is has been done.
