Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
Also do they only ask for proof of funds if you enter an amount?

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
Hi
No proof of funds required for CEC in EE, but you should know that in the 6 draws so far, only 1 was CEC specific. So no proof of funds in the profile, not eligible for FSW.

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
hey so this is a great post thanks for starting it...
Im hoping to get some more info...as trying to contact someone at cic is like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!
We moved to canada 16 months ago on a intra-work transferee permit (hubby applied to a manager position in alberta canada within the company he worked for in the uk) our permit is for 3 years ...
so we worked out his points before applying and since this job is permanent no plans on going anywhere etc we assumed that would be classed as 600 points (valid job offer) the job is in category 0 i think or A so didn't get education points sorted thinking we would be ok on points...
We submitted the application under CEC last night and the points are as follows:
total 292
CRS - Human Capital - Age 80
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education 0
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency 109
CRS - Human Capital - Second Official Language Proficiency 0
CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience 35
CRS - Spouse - Level of Education 0
CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency 18
CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience 0
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 0
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 50
CRS - Skill Transferability - Certificate of Qualification 0
CRS - Arranged Employment 0
CRS - Provincial/Territorial Nomination 0
So trying to look into this to do with the no points for job ...so the company he works for doesn't have LMIA is this what the problem could be? Do we need to get the company to apply for this to then be able to continue....
Also the over 1000 ITAs that have been sent to the 460 is point people would they have had a job offer before getting the ITA...
Is anyone else in this position working in canada already for the company they want to stay with but they don't have LMIA ...
Also then if we eventually get our ITA after reading previous posts what happens when the company does not exist anymore to get a reference from?
Also we got our police cert last oct but they will be over 3 months old but we live in canada so things wouldn't have changed... do you still need to then reapply for a new police cert from the uk... will they issue another one?
Sorry all over the place feeling very confused and stressed ...

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
Correct, but the application form still asks for it.
When we called the helpline, they told us to provide everything that the form asks for.
Presumably it is a glitch (the online application form contains MANY glitches, including frequent loss of previously entered data). We are very obviously carrying out CIC's beta testing for them. They clearly didn't test the web forms properly before they went live.
The form asks you for amount of unencumbered funds even if you are applying under CEC with a current job. It may be if you actually enter $0 in the earlier part of the form, the subsequent section will not ask you to provide proof. On the other hand, it may not let you Submit the application.....
However as the proof was readily available and it cost nothing to get the appropriate letters from Canadian banks, we provided it anyway.
If the online form asks you to upload a document, it won't let you Submit unless you upload a document.

But did you enter an amount in the funds section?

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
Hi
1. If you enter $0 or less than the LICO in the when entering the data, then your on line profile will only be considered for CEC. You should note that only 1 of the 6 draws was CEC specific. If you show sufficient funds, then your profile will also be considered for Skilled Worker.

So, even though we have qualified for the Pool under CEC and got an immediate ITA because we are already in Canada as working TFWs and have qualified under CEC because we have been working here for more than 12 months, the full application STILL asks for Proof of Funds....

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
Myself and Tirytory were referring to the final application after ITA, not the profile submission. Tirytory and her OH were a few weeks ahead of me in Submitting the final application.
