Hello I have a uk police caution 4 and a half years ago and was arrested and released after admitting my caution for assault on the same day. How will this affect on express entry visa or student visa.

CIC will decide if the caution is considered a conviction.
If not considered a conviction then not inadmissible if that is the only offence.
CIC tend not to deem a caution to be a conviction. They will ask for details and any documentation regarding the offence as you were arrested.

Thank u for the reply. Few more quetions, in case of student visa to canda do i have to mention about the caution as I have only 1 caution,will this be considered as an offence or conviction?is it true that a uk caution will be removed after five years?

Do you have the caution? Yes? Then that's your answer as to whether you have to mention it. Why would you think you wouldn't have to?

Cautions are covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and become spent immediately (apart from conditional cautions which will become spent after 3 months). But that is for the UK.
CIC seem to view a police caution as not a conviction but they must be disclosed on any written application or if verbally asked.
There is no such thing as a police caution in Canada.
As you will be applying for Express Entry or a Study Permit at an overseas office CIC will determine if you are inadmissible or not. Read the questions on the form very carefully in regards to any question regarding any arrests, charges or convictions.
