Nothing personal.
BV is providing immigration services for a fee. Yet, he can't make a distinction betwen Employment Authorization and Visa ( Re: legal question re: transfer/reapplication of EA 9/13/01) and Administrative law and immigration (Re: The practice of law, the administration of justice 9/17/01) He said "Immigration is not a legal proceeding, it is an administrative one." Immigration law is an administrative law and therefore what transpire between Immigration and immigrant is a legal matter. Do you know many people can be easily hoodwinked into believing ' Well, let's just do it. I've heard immigration is not a legal matter' Please read post by clive diaz 9/20/01 5:29PM and Berto's response and distinguish it from Mr Andrew Miller post. They are not on the same level. Mr Andrew Miller is on the side of the law. BV is on the opposite side of moral spectrum. The original poster did not establish residency in Canada. What's the point about spending money on fees? On clive diaz post BV's suggesting the immigrant re-enter Canada without a valid visa " Some would say it is best not to apply for the RRP as it often creates a standing decision that others will not go against and you will have plenty of opportunity to explain yourself in Canada." "It is best not to" "in Canada???Why would BV create an expectation that he/she may be allowed entry? A person who is not a citizen or PR without valid visa is not allowed to enter or re-enter Canada. His competence is highly suspect. I'll be saving his posts for further review and possibly referral to appropriate authorities. ======= Immigration Offences and Punishment IA sub 94(1)(j) Every person is guilty of an offense who for the purpose of encouraging, inducing, deterring or preventing immigration into Canada, publishes, disseminates or causes or procures the publication or dissemination of any false or misleading information or representations as to the opportunities for employment in Canada or other false or misleading information or representations, knowing that the information or representations are false or misleading IA sub 94(2)(a)(b) Every person who is guilty of an offense under sub (1) is liable (a) on conviction on indictment, to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both: or (b) on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both. > > [usenetquote2]> > Perhaps a more formal discussion would benefit those who wish to partake of the[/usenetquote2] [usenetquote2]> > information given in this group.[/usenetquote2] [usenetquote2]> >[/usenetquote2] [usenetquote2]> > Any question as to my authenticity can be easily verified.[/usenetquote2] > > > > > [usenetquote2]> > Please be advised that it is quite easy to hide behind the web of anonymity, but[/usenetquote2] [usenetquote2]> > even comments made in discussion groups may be construed as slanderous, liable[/usenetquote2] [usenetquote2]> > and/or defamatory and it is easy enough to find the perpetrator.[/usenetquote2] > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > |
