AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Where is the London office currently at? I received my AOR on the 30 June 2010...
Updates from other people would be interesting please... |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
I dont think you hear anything for about 6/8 months after receiving AOR.
It would be nice if it was quicker but I dont think it will be:( |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates

Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
I wasn't expecting anything, I just wanted a group of people with the same AOR timeline as me in the same thread, then we can keep each other informed off updates.
|
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
We are about 1 month ahead of you on AOR and have heard nothing. Going on some of the guys timelines in the March-April AOR timeline we can expect to wait from 2 - 6 weeks before going "In Process" But who can tell with the way London seem to pick for processing! So I would suggest up to 10 weeks for June AOR's is probably a reasonable expectation to go in process.

Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Hi guys, count me in. My AOR was received in August. I wasn't expecting to hear until December. I still check ECAS hopefully though. Luckily I'm really busy at the moment so I'm not thinking about it too much :D
|
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Yep, we're early July AOR-ers, not bothered about it at the moment, nothing we can do but wait. It'll all sort itself out in the fullness of time.
|
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
I got mine at the end of August, I'm not expecting to hear anything until early next year.

Am gonna be booking a recce trip in the next few weeks (for February time) Whoo whoo - cant wait Don't know what areas to look at though! What areas are you guys all hoping to go to? |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Me too AOR received end of August. I've also registered on here just out of interest:
http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immig...killed-workers I could kick myself that we've missed a trick with the Tesco Clubcard points and collecting Airmiles so we've just started collecting now and also collecting via the Airmiles website for online shopping. You need 8000 for a ticket to Canada... and so far I've got 70!! |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
got our AOR in mid August and not expecting to hear before the end of the year, we've just put it out of our minds for the next couple of months
|
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
06 July for me and just plodding along not doing much about it.
I worry they might nit pick as my job is not on the revised list, but nothing I can do about it now. Just as worried about tryting to get work there should I get PR, given the economy at the moment - hopefully better in 12 months. |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Regarding locations, I'm planning on heading to Toronto. Working in the bar/restaurant/events industry. But I'm also a Graphic Designer so I have some options.

It would be nice if it was quicker but I dont think it will be:( Am no longer worrying about it and accept it's going to be long delays, doesn't make it any less frustrating though! :) Wayne. |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
My AOR was 13th July, and the AOR letter stated 12months for PPR.
Not expecting to hear about medicals till December/January earliest. And yes... i do check ECAS every Tuesday, and my status still says "received by visa office" |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
I received my AOR at the start of July. By reading various posts on this forum at the time, I predicated my application would now have gone into processing. Of course it hasn't. Now looking at other posts from people who received their AORs earlier this year, it seems that nothing is being progressed there either.
I sent my docs to CIC back in December 2009 thinking that the entire process would be 6-12 months. How wrong was I. I've kinda just written everything off now in terms of a near future in Canada and instead concentrate on my current life here. |

I also received my AOR in July (July 20th). And like you, I also thought that the full process would take about a year. Wrong. My BUNAC visa is expiring at the end of this year and I'm still waiting on a decision about a LMO so if that doesn't come through I'll be shipping back home to wait on the PR decision, which based on the updated timelines seems that I won't know about until at least next August :( Sending positive vibes to the Vancouver HRSDC office to approve my LMO and make it a min. 2 years. :fingerscrossed: N. |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
like rubberduck i we got our AOR at the back end of August. we remain hopeful that the CIC will have a sudden rush of blood to the head and send out our med requests though
Cant seem to get into ECAS so assume that i must be doing something wrong when loggng in. I choose immigration number and put n my B**** number but it always says that we are not recognised. |
Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
When we first tried to check Ecas it kept coming up that they had no record of us. We had been typing in UK but we were classed as England, maybe yours is the same:)

Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
I cant get it to load today either, have found it has been doing this quite alot lately:frown:
Its probably because I check it alot more than I should - even though its only supposed to be updated on a Tuesday. The temptation is just too much!! |

Re: AOR from London June/July 2010 - Progress updates
Seems CIC have updated their application processing times page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...killed-fed.asp (page updated: 2010-10-25). For London it says 13 months from receiving application to finalisation.
