Snow - will it ever stop!

At least goats are not fussy about what they eat. The shop probably sells things like pasta that you could cook up for them if desperate.

It seems you can feed them peas and grain (oats, barley etc) though you need to be careful with the amounts Look here.
OMG, daughter just came in from school, bus crashed, they were stuck for over an hour then had to walk over a mile to get home.

Just been to shop to buy a few groceries (including wine!). Bought some pasta to cook for the animals.
Brian been up to check them, they're ok. Room where the kids are is dry. Other room is letting in a bit of snow but there is a mix of goats and sheep in there so their body warmth should help keep them safe.
I just hope Monica (goat) doesn't abort her kids because of the col. It's her first ones so she's not been through these conditions before.

Looks like it will be warming up again on Monday and Tuesday so most of this lot might be gone:

Snow is really stacking up here too, so much for the forecast of 'light flurries'
Not even going to think about clearing the pavement yet, snow plough has just been along for the second time pushing up little mountains onto the pavement, at least it is a holiday, so not many workers and school kids need to walk on it.

Sounds like we've had it lucky again, nowhere near 3 feet of snow here. It started snowing yesterday tea time and we've now got about 6 inches.
We were supposed to be going to a motorbike club party today but we're now going to give it a miss. Fortunately I bought 5 litres of wine yesterday

We've had about 30 cm of snow which is not a problem, the freezing rain storm and howling winds that preceded it knocked out our electricity though and it took EON 21 hours to get it back on... And we have no gas on our street

It is the wind that causes most of the problems. Every stick of my firewood is covered in snow because it finds its way into everywhere in a blizzard. I have been brushing it off but some of the moisture has soaked in so it wont burn very well.
