Re: Name suggestions please
A sub forum isn't just for discussing politics or controversial subjects. It can be fun too and silly. We have one in Italy called Al Fresco and it's a place to hang out and have a little chat about anything in our lives that isn't all about Italy or isn't connected to Italy. We have two threads in ours that get used a lot. One is called Happy Hour and the other is for a bit of a moan if you feel like it. Think about it. There are people who don't speak the local language yet and if something funny or silly happens in your day and you want to share it with other people, to share a joke and a smile then you can in a sub forum. Same thing if something has annoyed you.

Thanks for that Lorna
Digger, hopefully you will join us in the sub section, it would be a great place to discuss things that I know you are interested in such as new builds, strawbale etc
Paul, "A Kocsma" will be added to the list, I've never heard it used, is it a physical place?

Haha, can you tell I lived in a village without a pub? Going to the pub in our village was going to the "bolt" to sit on the benches outside.

Re: Name suggestions please
To date we have:
Palinka pot
Happy Hungarian
Bogracs Buli
Palinka Party
A Kocsma
Magyar Kocsma
If others agree, I'll leave it open till tomorrow for any further suggestions and then post a poll so you can vote. If the initial voting is inconclusive, I'll post a second poll with only the most popular names and if it's still inconclusive, I'll stick the names in a hat and have one of the children pick it.

Make yourself a cuppa or grab a pint and join in with your sub forum when it opens. Have fun, be silly, post a silly picture or a photo. Have a little moan about something, get something off your chest. It's a free place for all kinds of topics. I might drop by myself sometimes for a little Hungarian drink. What's the local poison over there? I'll share some Italian Grappa .... very strong stuff

Re: Name suggestions please
You might live to regret that Lorna - Hungarian Palinka is a fruit brandy and can be made from several different fruits - plums, pears, cherries etc. Probably similar in strength to Grappa, anything between 30-60%

Re: Name suggestions please
I can try it once. Italy also makes fruit grappa. Years ago a friend and I once mixed fruits of the forest grappa with lemonade. It was too strong without it and the lemonade gave it some fizz and bubbles. It tasted like fizzy Ribena and didn't taste like strong alcohol. We didn't get that tipsy feeling at all. In fact we felt brilliant, until at one point we tried to stand up and had no legs. Flat on our faces and literally legless. Thank goodness we were only in my little flat and not anywhere else. We never did that again.
