The most expensive quote we have heard of included a Thomson box and was 100,000ft - for those without a sky box, this seem quite an affordable option.
The chap speaks fairly good English and can be contacted on 06302520934 or by email at orbanferi at zelkanet.hu
We are going with satellite TV and just want to know is this contact still the best so far. cheers

Satelitte man Feri came yesterday and put up our 120cm dish, quad LNB and 2 HD boxes. Took him about 4 hours. Nice bloke, English good, good job and now have more channels than we need, some in glorious HD. Comes recommended

There is a useful web link where the bbc talk of changes due in 2013.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/blogabout...onders-in-2013

Sadly it looks as though TV reception will become harder from satellites during 2013.

Gee, read what the BBC were planning. I'm very unimpressed because the BBC do not restrict any overspill to the Republic of Ireland! If I lived in Hungary why should I not be allowed to receive the same TV as someone in R.o.I?

What I'll probably do is buy a FreeSat recorder with plenty of Gigabytes to store films, programmes, from other channels and watch them during the winter months only. I think in the spring and summer I'd be outside 99% of the time.

Sounds not too disimilar to us but through a proxy, we have our PC linked to our TV so everything is centralised, we rarely bother recording stuff though, tend to find enough to watch/do over winter... Like improving our Hungarian in the local pub as we are too busy with crops in summer
