I have never noticed that it causes flatulence.

Cheddar cheese in America, even imported cheddar cheese, is curiously rubbery.

Re: Cheeder Cheese
One thing I miss from America is something called "Colby" cheese. Wisconsin-style. Probably the best of class in "rubbery" cheese. Wish we could get it here.

Re: Cheeder Cheese
From the Wikipedia article on Colby cheese: ".... Colby is softer, moister, and milder than cheddar .... " so pretty much the crystallized essence of what is wrong with American cheese.

Sheep here are expected to earn their own rosemary crusts if they are not to be exported live to China.

There is 'tasty' which is not tasty and there is wubbery . We have this. I'll swap you for a bit of crumbly cheddar. I don't know. Is that you MrBEVS ? Anchor butter and the NZ lamb costs many arms and legs here or is that many legs and legs. The best NZ lamb is all exported. What is affordable is mutton and hogget. Re: Cheeder Cheese
Good morning everybody!
We tried the Cheddar cheese and my wife also likes it - she often complains that in Hungary there used to be no good cheese available (at a reasonable price ...) but of course with globalisation this has changed.
Every week we're waiting for the flyers from Spar, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi etc to see if there is another "American/English/Italian/Spanish/Greek/Dalmatian/Swiss week" somewhere - there's always something new to try ...
